I grew up in Upstate South Carolina. After college, I went on to graduate school and spent the better part of a decade away from the Carolinas before returning to North Carolina to plant roots of my own. Choosing Saluda was deliberate. I wanted to raise a family in a community with real character, and no matter where else I looked, I kept finding my way back here.

For the eight years since, I haven't just lived in Saluda; I've shown up for it. Serving this town has been the steady work of my life here, from planting flowers in the park to designing billboards on the highway, I've been proud to give my time to some of the boards and groups that keep Saluda running:

•    Historic Saluda, Member-at-Large, 2026 to present

What I've valued most in those years is learning how this town works and getting to know the people who keep it running. Progress in a small place rarely arrives as one big idea. More often it comes quietly, from folks who keep turning up to the same meetings and stay with the same projects long enough to see them through. That's the kind of steady work I hope to keep doing.

I came to Saluda as a transplant who chose this town on purpose, and I've spent the years since earning my place in it. My only agenda is consistent, honest work: steady, patient progress that benefits this community. I've already had the privilege of working alongside many of the leaders who've brought Saluda this far, and I'd be honored to help carry the legacy they've built into its next chapter.
